Modern and colorful residence
This modern and colorful residence was designed and congenital by 57Studio in collaboration with Felipe Zamora, Francisco Sass0 and Roberto Ibaceta. It sits on a 1,658 Sq Ft site and it was completed in 2008. The house is located in Santiago, Republic of chile. What yous see here was not a completely new construction but an expansion of a 1960's single unit of measurement house. It was transformed into a barber shop and residence for the owners, a young entrepreneur couple.
View in gallery The ii structures, the hairdresser shop and the residence,are separated and they were relocated co-ordinate to their relation to the street. The color was as well used to differentiate the two structures. The barber store is brown geometrical structure oriented towards the street while the business firm is a red cube oriented towards the backyard.

View in gallery The ii structures are covered with fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) panels, in modules that optimize their industrial format. There are also several glass features, allowing more natural light to go inside. There'south besides a big window between the 2 levels of the residence. Overall, this combination of two different modules forms a harmonious construction. They were cleverly divided both by the use of walls and color. This makes the building stand out and information technology also gives it the modern look that the owners were trying to reach.
